Favorite Wrestlers(All-time): Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair, Iron Sheik, Roddy Piper, and Jimmy Snuka. Biography: Ilan Preisler, better known as The Viz, is the yang to Ryan’s yin. The chemistry between the two of them is unparalleled but it just seems like they can never get along. You can say that they agree to disagree. He joined the show in its infancy back in August 2004 as an intern, quickly moving his way up to co-host within a period of nine months. He has a degree in psychology and is planning to pursue a career in medicine. He has been a life-long wrestling fan and has been quoted as saying that "professional wrestling is my favorite art form". During 2004, he had a memorable feud with "Iron" Mike Lyons which culminated in him getting mercilessly chopped. Both he and Mike Lyons were co-General Managers of the show and decided that the winner of a best out of five wrestling trivia tournament would emerge as the sole GM. Though he was defeated, it was a springboard to becoming a co-host, even taking over for awhile as host while Ryan Rider was away. He brought all the intelligence and creativity with him from his academic career of studying to become a doctor back to the Main Event during his return in 2008 as a color commentator/co-host. While the position was supposed to be temporary, Viz ended up staying on through July 2009 and had his best run yet. As opposed to Ryan's avenue into radio, which was through an affinity for the medium, his entrance into radio came as a result of a love for the wrestling business. "It was a truly wonderful experience to attempt interning on The Main Event in order to satisfy a need to discuss a passion, which led me to another passion entirely, a love of sharing opinion, discussion and debate, on-air. It doesn't hurt when you have an opinion on everything and tend to be very liberal especially when your counterpart is a poster boy for conservative values." "My background in psychology is an asset in any discussion; however for our purposes it is especially useful. A business like pro wrestling that deals in human emotion, both in conveying and evoking it, can always be well served by an analysis from someone who has been taught and trained to understand the human mind. Through my over five-year experience on The Main Event, I've become a far more skilled on-air talent, a prolific interviewer; interviewing the likes of Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair, Mickey Rourke, and Nicole of The Pussycat Dolls. However, the most important asset I bring to any show is a critical mind, a sharp wit, and an unwavering commitment to excellence; there is no such thing as a perfect show."
